Enemy Territory

Enemy Territory는 울펜스타인 엔진으로 만들어진 FPS 게임입니다. 그리 고사양이 필요치 않으며, 인터넷 멀티플레이 가능 버전이 무료로 제공되어 많은 플레이어를 확보하고 있습니다. 국내 리눅서들과 함께 즐기시려면, hanirc의 #gnome_et 채널로 오세요!

설치 ¶

Planet Wolfenstein 에서 2.60 버전과 2.60b 패치를 받아 설치합니다. 윈도우라면 2.60과 2.60 패치를 차례로 설치 후 2.60b 패치를 설치해야 합니다.

리눅스라면 다운받은 경로에서 다음과 같이 합니다.

$ chmod +x et-linux-2.60.x86.run

$ sudo ./et-linux-2.60.x86.run

라이선스를 읽는 부분에서는 q를 누르면 동의하느냐는 프롬프트가 뜹니다. Y를 누른 뒤 이후로는 쭉 따라가며 응답해주면 됩니다.

Would you like to read the CHANGES file ? [Y/n] n

Please enter the installation path [/usr/local/games/enemy-territory] 

Please enter the path in which to create the symbolic links [/usr/local/bin] 

'Enemy Territory' option will be installed.

이제 설치가 다 완료되었으면 준비한 패치를 설치합니다.

$ unzip et-2.60b.zip
$ sudo cp Enemy\ Territory\ 2.60b/linux/* /usr/local/games/enemy-territory
$ rm -rf Enemy\ Territory\ 2.60b/

이제 게임을 시작할 수 있습니다.

$ et

Troubleshooting ¶

게임 실행 후 사운드가 나지 않는 경우가 있습니다. 출처
- 이때 로그를 보면 다음과 같은 메시지가 발견됩니다 :
```
------- sound initialization -------
/dev/dsp: Input/output error
Could not mmap /dev/dsp
------------------------------------
```
- 루트로 로그인 후 다음과 같이 입력하면 해결됩니다.
```
# echo "et.x86 0 0 direct" > /proc/asound/card0/pcm0p/oss 
```
