문서와 툴들
온라인 상과 출판등 문서들이 여럿있다. 이러한 문서들을 읽는 것은 더 많은 시간이 든다. Que (ISDN 0-7897-2273-9)에서 출판된 The Concise Guide to DNS and BIND (by Nicolai Langfeldt)가 있다. 이 책은 HOWTO와 비슷하지만 더 많고 자세한 내용을 기술해 놓았다. 그러나 일반적으로는 C. Liu and P. Albitz가 쓴 O'Reilly & Associates (ISBN 0-937175-82-X)의 DNS and BIND 가 있다. 이것 역시 매우 좋다. 3판까지 나왔다. BIND 4만큼이나 BIND 8을 많이 설명해 놓았다. Craig Hunt가 쓴 O'Reilly (ISBN 0-937175-82-X)사의 TCP/IP Network Administration의 DNS 부분도 좋다. Robert M. Pirsig의 Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance 역시 훌륭하다(ISBN 0688052304).
인터넷에서는 http://www.dns.net/dnsrd/ , http://www.isc.org/bind.html에서 관련 내용을 찾을 수 있다. FAQ, 레퍼런스 매뉴얼(BOG; Bind Operations Guide), 기사, 프로토콜 정의, DNS 해킹 (전부는 아니지만, 이 문서와 rfcs 대부분이 bind 배포본에 포함되어 있다.) 필자는 이들 대부분을 읽지 보지 않았다. 어쨋든 필자는 전문적으로 DNS를 관리하는 관리자는 아니다. 반면 Arnt Gulbrandsen은 BOG를 읽었고 그 사실에 황홀해 한다. :-) news:comp.protocols.tcp-ip.domains가 DNS 관련 뉴스그룹이다. 또한, DNS에 관한 RFC가 많이 있다. 아마도 가장 중요한 것은 이것 들일 것이다.
